Now in its 54th year in the UK, the Bold Woman Awards remains the longest-running international recognition programme of its kind, spotlighting women whose ambition, innovation, and leadership continue to redefine entrepreneurship.
This year, the 2026 UK Bold Woman Awards honoured Smruti Sriram with the Bold Woman Award, recognising her transformative work in sustainable packaging and ethical manufacturing. Alisha Fredriksson received the Bold Future Award for her pioneering work developing carbon capture technology to help decarbonise the shipping industry.

To date, over 30 billion single-use items have been estimated to have been eliminated thanks to Smruti and the business.
Seabound is a London-based startup decarbonising global shipping by developing modular carbon capture equipment for ships. Seabound has pioneered a new category of climate technology, completed two world-first pilots with top-tier shipping companies, and raised over $10M in equity and grant funding from Lowercarbon Capital, Y Combinator, the UK Department for Transport, and the European Space Agency.
The award’s judging panel features a mixture of 15 industry leaders and networkers, including Kristina Blahnik, CEO of Manolo Blahnik; Bridget Lea, Managing Director of Allwyn UK, Matt Penneycard Co-founding Partner at Ada Ventures; and Pip Jamieson, founder of The Dots.
