Retro elegance, sophistication and swirls of golden bubbles acted as a backdrop for the rivalry between two intriguingly mysterious gangsters from the 1930s, as well as representing the distinctive features of the Veuve Clicquot Speakeasy Party held on Saturday September 3 at Villa Reale in Monza.

The event plunged the Royal Villa designed by Giuseppe Piermarini into the past of a Chicago where luxury and sophistication were brought together in a whirlwind of music and theatre.
Gangsters John Dillinger and Baby Face Nelson once again played out their fight for supremacy in a showcase of theatre and music that projected the event’s guests into the smoky elegance of this city of myriad lights. All played out “on the notes” of the sophisticated bouquets that characterise Veuve Clicquot.
With over two thousand guests, the Veuve Clicquot Speakeasy Party confirmed once again the leading role that Veuve Clicquot has always played in Italian nightlife.
