Champagne Extra Brut Extra Old 2
Extra Brut Extra Old
Sense of purity
Extra Brut Extra Old 2 is made only from reserve wines from the harvest of 1990, 1998, 1999, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012. Those reserve wines were aged at least 2 years in vats selected for their unique characteristics of freshness and aromatic complexity.
The blend is composed of twenty different crus from the region of Champagne (Montagne de Reims, Côte des Bar, Côte des Blancs, Vallée de la Marne et de l’Ardre, Massif de Saint Thierry).
The cuvée is a blend of the 3 grape varieties of the region: 45% Pinot Noir, 27% Chardonnay and finally, 28% Meunier, selected among the House’s reserve wines collection.
Following the prise de mousse, bottles are aged for a minimum of three more years in the House’s Crayères in order to perfect their aromatic balance.
Thanks to the reserve wines intensity and richness, Extra Brut Extra Old 2 blend requires a very low dosage (3 g/L of sugar). The result displays an outstanding balance of freshness, complexity, with an amazing aging potential of more than ten years.
