What is Business Woman Award?

The Business Woman Award (BWA) was established in 1972, in the year marking the 200th anniversary of the  Maison Veuve Clicquot, to honor the innovative spirit and the extraordinary accomplishments achieved by Madame Clicquot 1777-1866). She is seen as the forerunner of the modern day female entrepreneur, is highly praised as “La Grand Dame” of the champagne world. Since then, the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award has continuously supported business women around the world who share the same innovative spirit as Madame Clicquot. The award has been extended to over 350 women in 27 countries.

On Thursday, September 12th, the awarding ceremony for the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award was held. The two awardees were announced at the ceremony. Oishi Kanoko is the winner of the Business Woman Award. Mirai Hirano is the winner of the New Generation Award.
