Created in 1972 to celebrate the House’s bicentennial, the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award is handed out every year to outstanding women to honor their entrepreneurial spirit. It pays tribute to the first among them, Madame Clicquot, who established herself as a leading female figure in the business world. These women, all worthy heirs to the “Grande Dame”, possess qualities rendering them pioneers able to face every challenge: leadership, courage, creativity and talent. In its second year, the Clémentine Award is presented to women who, in the eyes of the Maison, represent the future generation of "Business Women". Clémentine is the name of Madame Clicquot's daughter, and the Maison is convinced that this family link can only celebrate talented young women.
