LOS ANGELES, CA (October 14, 2017) – For the eighth year in a row, Veuve Clicquot, alongside world-renowned polo player Nacho Figueras, welcomed more than 6,000 Angelenos, celebrities and polo enthusiasts to the beautiful Will Rogers State Historic Park to celebrate with champagne and enjoy the highly-anticipated Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic Los Angeles. The glamorous crowd enjoyed a day of polo-watching, picnicking and champagne-sipping in support of the event’s longstanding beneficiary, the Will Rogers State Historic Park.

Proudly bringing back the sport of polo to Will Rogers State Historic Park, Veuve Clicquot continued its efforts to keep the tradition alive in Los Angeles and benefit one of the last remaining grass polo fields in the area. The park, set in the hills of the Pacific Palisades, once served as home to polo matches amongst the stars, including Will Rogers himself and Walt Disney, Spencer Tracy, Clark Gable and Douglas Fairbanks. This event gave the crowd a unique and exciting experience that embodied the glorious days of style and polo that thrived in the city of Angels in the 1920s and 1930s.

Back by popular demand, Veuve Clicquot offered polo-enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy the match from the Rosé Garden, an exclusive viewing area where guests enjoyed exceptional views of the match, flutes of Veuve Clicquot Rosé and a gourmet lunchbox by Wolfgang Puck Catering.

Event-goers’ favorite sips of the day were the signature cocktails, the Clicquot Rich Classic, made with Veuve Clicquot Rich and slices of cucumber, and the Rich Rosé Twist, made with Veuve Clicquot Rich Rosé and lime garnish. Veuve Clicquot Rich, the newest Champagne offering from the House, is inspired by mixology and designed to be served over ice and mixed with fresh fruits, vegetables or herbs to create unique champagne cocktails.
