Olga Dubey - AgroSustain
New Generation Award
Olga Dubey is CEO of AgroSustain, a company founded in 2018 with the goal of preventing the development of fungal diseases and reducing food waste (fruits and vegetables). The company's fungal solutions are based on Dubey's patented doctoral thesis. This 28 year old entrepreneur holds a master's in genetics and a doctorate in plant biochemistry. Dubey wanted to find a way to stop the proliferation of molds that didn't require chemical fungicide treatments. She developed a line of plant-based antifungal agents that is currently being commercialized by AgroSustain. Her company was named one of the top 50 Swiss startups to invest in for 2019, and Watson.ch lists it as one of the top 5. This year, Dubey was also chosen as one of Forbes' "30 under 30" for Europe in the "Science & Healthcare" category.
