Australian finalists announced for the Business Women New Generation Award 2017

Veuve Clicquot has announced the names of the fearless finalists shortlisted for the Veuve Clicquot New Generation Award 2017 in Australia.

These young women have been chosen for the innovation, audacity and courage that they have shown in building their incredible businesses. Just as Madame Clicquot was a mere 27 years of age when she took over the reins at Veuve Clicquot, these bold businesswomen have shown boundless courage and made their mark before they have even turned 40.

The finalists cover an amazing spectrum. There is Jacqui Bull who has revolutionized the recruitment business with her Sidekicker platform; Jess Hatzis and Bree Johnson who have built not one but two breakthrough businesses, content agency Willow & Blake and global skincare empire frank body; Jessica May whose company Enabled Employment has harnessed the power of technology to create employment opportunities for people with disabilities; Melany McBride and Amy Parfett who have created Wedshed, an innovative airbnb style platform for wedding venues; Melanie Perkins who has created design software Canva that is used by more than 10 million people around the world; and Alyce Tran who has built a 20 million dollar business on the back of monogrammed accessories.

The winner will be announced in Sydney on Tuesday 7 March 2017. She will receive a trophy, a bottle of Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame, and a trip to France in 2017, where she will have the chance to tread in Madame Clicquot’s footsteps, visiting the Veuve Clicquot Maison, Manoir de Verzy and the House’s vineyards in Reims. During her visit, the winner will have a vine baptised in her name, recognising her legacy and lifelong relationship with Veuve Clicquot.

Win or lose, these eight young women are truly inspirational; pioneers who defy convention and strive for excellence. As the Clicquot motto goes: “Only one quality, the finest”.
