VEUVE CLICQUOT BOLD WOMAN AWARD NIGERIA
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
GENERAL:
Information on how to enter form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this award is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
This award is closed to all participants under the age of 18 years old.
The award is open to all Nigerian residents only and who are in possession of a valid identity document, except any director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Promoter, the marketing service providers or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
We adhere to the provisions of POPI and will only process personal and special personal information for the purpose of the Veuve Clicquot Bold Woman Award only. Please note that by participating in this award, you provide your consent to us, to process your personal information.
This award submission commences Monday, 31th July 2023, and entries close at 23:59 PM on Sunday, 25th August 2023. (the “Submission Period”).

THE AWARDS:
The Bold Woman Award Nigeria comprises of two awards: the Bold Woman Award and the Bold Future Award. Please see below criteria for each award.
BOLD WOMAN AWARD:
DEMONSTRATE ENTREPRENEURIAL DARING
A woman who founded or has been CEO for more than three years of a company in Nigeria. The candidate must have made a significant contribution to the success of her company by instilling her sense of entrepreneurship.
REINVENT TRADITIONS WITH SUCCESS
The candidate must have made a tangible contribution to the transformation and evolution of traditional processes in her field, and which have supported growth for at least two years.
MAINTAIN AN ETHICAL APPROACH TO BUSINESS
The candidate must bring values of ethical change to the company and its direct ecosystem, such as improving environmental impact, fostering a supportive work environment and engaging in inclusive social change.
BOLD FUTURE AWARD:
DEMONSTRATE ENTREPRENEURIAL DARING
The candidate must be a woman who founded or has been CEO of a company that has been in existence for less than three years in Nigeria. The candidate must have made a significant contribution to the success of her company by instilling her sense of entrepreneurship.
REINVENT TRADITIONS WITH SUCCESS
The candidate must have made a significant innovation or a tangible contribution to the transformation of an existing market.
MAINTAIN AN ETHICAL APPROACH TO BUSINESS
The candidate must bring values of ethical change to the company and its direct ecosystem, such as improving environmental impact, fostering a supportive work environment and engaging in inclusive social change.
FINALISTS AND WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
7. All submissions will be vetted by the Promoter and their agent according to the criteria stipulated.
8. The top 6 finalists for each award will be contacted by the Promoter (or their agent) via email in the week commencing 14th August 2023. If a finalist does not respond timeously, the Promoter reserves the right to select another finalist in terms of the rules.
9. The top 6 finalists for each award will be required to present to the jury in Lagos in the week commencing 21st August 2023.
10. The jury will use a point system to evaluate the top 6 finalists based on the criteria for each award. The winner will be awarded based on the highest number of points received. The top 3 finalists will be contacted after this.
11. Winners will be announced Sunday 8th October, 2023 at a venue in Lagos. All finalists to be present at the award ceremony. Finalists residing outside of Lagos will have flights and accommodation arranged.
12. If the award winner cannot be contacted during this period, the prize will be forfeited and another winner will be selected in accordance with the rules.
13. The Promoter or its agents shall not be responsible for any lost, damaged, delayed, incorrect or incomplete submissions for any reason whatsoever.
14. The Promoter or its agents shall not be responsible for the failure of any technical element relating to this award that may result in a submission not being successfully submitted.
15. Responsibility is not accepted for submissions lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer or cell phone hardware or software failure of any kind.
16. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any claim if fraud or cheating is suspected, including without limitation, through the manipulation of code or otherwise frequently falsifying data.
17. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted submissions will be accepted. Submissions will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.
18. The Promoter and its agents reserve the right to name winners publicly and any other place where the Promoter deems fit. By entering the award, the winners agree to the publication of their name by the Promoter.
19. The Promoter and its agents reserve the right to use the images taken of the winner for publicity purposes in any manner they deem fit, without remuneration being made payable to the winner.
